About GutDecode
We believe everyone deserves to understand their gut health without a PhD in microbiology.
Why we built this
Gut health testing has become genuinely accessible. For $100–$200, anyone can send a stool sample to a lab and get back a detailed breakdown of their microbiome. The problem is what happens after: a 40-page PDF full of Latin bacteria names, reference ranges with no context, and a generic recommendation to "eat a diverse diet."
The alternative is booking a session with a registered dietitian who specializes in gut health. That's $150–$300 per hour — and a 3-month waiting list if you can find one at all. Most people end up filing the test away and changing nothing.
GutDecode exists to close that gap. We built a system that reads your actual test data, identifies what's genuinely outside range for you, and translates that into a concrete meal plan with real food names. Not a listicle. Not a sales funnel. A plan you can take to the grocery store this weekend.
Our mission
Make gut health accessible, actionable, and affordable for everyone — not just people who can afford specialists or have hours to spend decoding scientific literature.
What makes us different
We made deliberate choices about what GutDecode would and wouldn't do.
Test-agnostic
Works with any gut health test provider — Viome, Thryve, Biomesight, or your hospital lab. Upload a PDF or paste your results and we handle the rest.
Specific, not generic
We name real foods — salmon, kimchi, lentils, blueberries — not vague instructions like "eat more fiber" or "reduce processed foods." You get a grocery list, not a lecture.
No supplement pushing
We don't sell supplements. We don't earn commissions. Our only incentive is giving you an interpretation accurate enough that you come back next time you test.
The team
Small team, focused mission.

Frustrated by their own confusing gut test results, they spent six months building what they wished existed — a tool that actually explains what your microbiome data means for your diet.
